On September 20, 2023, the Board of Directors approved the new Flat Rents for Shade View Apartments effective October 1, 2023, for all new admissions. They are as follows:
1 Bedroom Walkup – $550
2 Bedroom Walkup – $610
2 Bedroom Townhouse – $625
3 Bedroom Townhouse – $775
4 Bedroom Townhouse – $850
Those residents currently paying Flat Rent will not be subject to the increase until the date of their next annual recertification on or after January 1, 2024.
The August 16, 2023, Board Meeting has been cancelled due to a lack of quorum.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Directors of the Snyder County Housing Authority will hold a special meeting at the Housing Authority Offices located at 106 Drake Court, Middleburg, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 3:00 pm, to approve the 2024 Budgets and other lawful business that may come before it.
The June 21, 2023, Board Meeting has been cancelled due to a lack of quorum.
The Snyder County Housing Authority (SCHA) is accepting applications for rental assistance through its Housing Choice voucher Program. If you live or work in either Snyder or Union county, you qualify for a preference. Through a Shared Jurisdiction Agreement with the Housing Authority of Union County, Voucher holders are able to find suitable housing in either Snyder or Union Counties but remain administered through the SCHA. Our waiting list is very low, so apply now!
The SCHA is also accepting applications for SHADE VIEW APARTMENTS, in Middleburg, PA. We currently have vacancies for two- and three-bedroom sizes, based on family composition. Applications MUST BE PICKED UP at our office. They are available in the forms box located outside of our office at 106 Drake Court, Middleburg, PA 17842.
